Web pages on site go all black when selection on

This site www.strava.com shows a black screen when the selection button is pressed. When the button is off the page display returns.
I had to click where I thought the fields were. I clicked and watched what inner text was displayed. I created a kind and then added to the definition whenver I hit another item in the column.
With the selection button off I could see the effects of Select kind in browser. Then I discovered a great HS shortcut Select previous/next sibling, whew that saved of lot of blind poking to create kinds.

Fails on Windows 7 32 bit (desktop) and IE 9

It works on 64 bit (laptop) and IE 9.
