Helium Scraper

Hello,

Love the software.

My problem is i am trying to make next work.

on the website I am trying to scrap data from there is a next at the top and bottom of the page it looks like this:

<< < 1 2 3 5 5 6 7 > >>

So when I create a action it always selects the one on the top and bottom and it never goes to next it always says found 2

Hi,

In this case you should be able to use your kind as is, because the Next action will use the first element if there are more than one.

If you'd still like your kind to select only one item, you can try going to Project -> Options -> Select Property Gatherers and select all gatherers in the Kind Defining tab. This way your kinds will be more restrictive and you might need to give Helium Scraper more samples than usual when creating them.

If this doesn't work you would need to create a JavaScript gatherer so that Helium Scraper can find the difference between both. If you are into programming at all this blog post will help. There is also a quick JavaScript tutorial for non programmers in the blog.
